2020 Goals

2020 Goals

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely time seeing the new decade in. I spent the evening with my Mum, Dad, Lew and a few too many Gin’s. I love cosy evenings in with the family and cannot deal with overpriced drinks, so this was a perfect night for me.

As we are a few days into the New Year, I thought it was time to set myself some goals. I find this so much more achievable than making resolutions. The minute I tell myself I can’t do something, I want to do it more, so goals always give me that something to work towards.

I wanted to start by taking a little look back at last year’s goals and see how I got on.

2019 Goals

1 – Keep Up The Healthier Lifestyle – I actually managed to keep up with this one and I am really pleased with myself. Obviously Christmas was a complete exception, but other than that I have managed to stay a lot healthier.

2 – Push My Blog Further – I fell in love with blogging all over again and hopefully it shows. I have been trying to get it out there a little bit more too.

3 – Grow My Instagram – I find it so hard to grow Instagram. It hasn’t really gone anywhere over the past few months, so I didn’t really manage to achieve this goal.

4 – Plan More – I didn’t do too bad with this one, I feel like I am finally getting there with planning and jotting down ideas as soon as they come into my head, rather than jotting them down and forgetting within a second.

5 – Get Up Early – Nope, this is still a super struggle for me.

6 – Practice More Makeup Looks – I definitely did this one. I have made more time for makeup and am loving it.

7 – Work With Brands – YES. I am so proud of myself for this one. I worked with so many brands last year and I couldn’t feel luckier.

8 – Get More Active – I managed this one too. I’m not exactly doing the London Marathon, but I have downloaded Just Dance on the Switch and some of those workout dances are HARD.

9 – Post More Outfit Photos – This goal kind of flopped. I might get there one day, I just struggle with outfit photos still.

10 – Get Another Kitten – Nope. We have been super tempted so many times, but Meowth and Misty get on so well together, I would hate to ruin that by adding a third wheel. We will see though ha!

I don’t feel like I did too badly with last year’s goals and even the ones I didn’t achieve, I will just try again. I can’t quite believe I am at the goal setting stage again already, but here are my goals for this year.

Yearly Goals 2020

A few of them are the same as last year, mainly because I have actually managed to stick to them so wanted to try and carry them on. Others are goals that I am hoping will make me feel better. A lot of them are blog related goals, but there are a couple of personal ones in there too.

2020 Goals

1 – Healthy Eating – I feel so much better for eating well and definitely want to continue this into 2020. That’s not to say I don’t like a little junk food binge every now and again still.

2 – Lose Weight – This goes hand in hand with my first goal. I have been unhappy with my weight for a little while and I am hoping eating healthier will help me tone up a little.

3 – Grow Instagram – This is a goal I really struggled with last year, but I will persevere as I just can’t help loving Instagram even though it annoys me. If you have any tips for growing Instagram, please share!

4 – Get Up Early – I am carrying this one over from last year too. I really want to get up early, so I am going to just keep trying.

5 – Practice Makeup – I have had so much fun playing around with makeup more and am going to carrying on this year.

6 – Work With More Brands – I am so lucky to have worked with so many amazing brands over the last few months and hopefully I can work with more this year. This may even be the year that I approach brands first, but we will see.

7 – Post More Makeup Photos – As I have been practising more, I really want to start a weekly makeup series. I am hoping it is something that you guys will enjoy, so look out for that one.

8 – Manage Savings – I am just rubbish at saving money, so this is something that I really want to work on this year.

9 – Be More Active on Social Media – I go through stages where I am really active for ages and then don’t post for a while, I want to be more consistent with posting. Sometimes it’s hard when you don’t really have an exciting life and have nothing to say though ha.

10 – Post At A Regular Schedule – I have slowly started doing this and find it a lot easier to work to. Currently I try to post every other day, with a few exceptions and want to hopefully try and keep that going.

So these are my goals for this year. I could go on forever with all the things I want to achieve, but this is a good start for now.

Have you set yourself any goals for 2020? ❤

Congrats on achieving so many of your 2019 goals! I think Instagram is such a difficult platform for growth, I find it so frustrating but I’m hoping to put a bit more effort in this year. I’ve set myself some small goals for 2020 too – it’s a much more realistic approach than resolutions which seem impossible! Good luck with your weight loss journey 🙂 xx

Completely agree re: growth on insta!
Creating the life’s we want is the most important thing though so awesome that you’re both sticking to your goals – hope you’re getting on okay with them 🙂
